Love After Love
How to make divorce the best thing that has happened to you
About the Book
More than 50% of all marriages end up in divorce…
We have been given very few tools, in school, in society, by the media or otherwise on how to do it well. Most of what we see of divorce portrays it as antagonistic and toxic. Considering that it happens to half of us - should we not have better role models on how to do it well? How to turn it into a gift?
This book helps you reframe your thinking to ensure you have a thriving divorce and a better relationship with your kids, your former spouse, new partners and most importantly, with yourself. A re-thought, happier life on your own terms. A guide to fastest route to peace and happiness (note: not justice).
How do you not let a good divorce go to waste and take the opportunity for tremendous growth. Where you rise from the ashes, set up your life on your terms, date again and have a fulfilling life with much improved relationships - with yourself and others.
How to reframe divorce from a failure into the best thing that happened to you, and use the opportunity to find the best version of yourself and the kind of life you want to live.
Many books cover the actual divorce process itself. However, divorce is rarely the end. It is the beginning of your new you. Love After Love delves into how to think about and approach all the intricacies and challenges that will arise & keep you growing, learning and thriving .
Your where to after the dust has settled.
A mix of personal journey, pop psychology and a healthy sprinkling of Eastern European tough love, Love After Love is a series of easily digestible “mini chapters” or bite size meditations to help the reader stay on track and reflect on who s/he wants to be.
“This is your opportunity to rethink every aspect of your life and come back better, stronger and more aligned”
You can break up a marriage, but you cannot break up a family.
About Lea
Lea is a serial entrepreneur and investor, with two decades of investing, operating and board experience in Silicon Valley and Europe. A Kauffman Fellow, Lea holds a Harvard MBA and an MSC in Business Administration from Stockholm School of Economics and HEC Paris.
She did not think she would get married, let alone divorced. Like every couple, she and her former husband thought the statistics wouldn't have applied to them. Oh well…
They fumbled through it, got some good (and a lot of bad) advice. but ultimately they wanted to do divorce differently and far better than the norm. Despite things being stacked against them - covid, unemployment, moving continents and ending up in different countries, they managed to get to a great place of mutual respect, love and friendship.
The seed for the book was born from lots of encouragement to write about how one gets to such a place — a place of love after love. If it will help even a few people have better outcomes in their relationship, the effort was worth it.
The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. It is worth putting our utmost effort into ensuring their thriving.
Lea is a mom to a vivacious daughter, nutritionist, former fitness instructor, and a performance hacking hobbyist and a big believer in leveraging technology to create better outcomes for all.
